Aberfal is the Cornish name for the town of Falmouth in Cornwall.
Aber in Cornish (and Welsh) means "estuary" or "river mouth". Fal is the River Fal, which flows into the sea at Falmouth. So Aberfal means "mouth of the River Fal".
This site is a notebook of Falmouth: its history, its harbour, its beaches and the places worth stopping at. It is written and kept by Lyndon Antcliff, who lives in Falmouth.
